The conference featured over 200 sessions and displayed 400 academic posters, highlighting the latest research and technologies in water resource management and pollution control.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.people-network.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/09\/IWA4.jpg\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-14887 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.people-network.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/09\/IWA4.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"378\" height=\"161\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.people-network.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/09\/IWA4.jpg 378w, https:\/\/www.people-network.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/09\/IWA4-300x128.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 378px) 100vw, 378px\" \/><\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.people-network.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/09\/IWA2.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-14891 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.people-network.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/09\/IWA2.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"378\" height=\"210\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.people-network.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/09\/IWA2.jpg 378w, https:\/\/www.people-network.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/09\/IWA2-300x167.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 378px) 100vw, 378px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>A workshop titled &#8220;Collaborative Solutions for Emerging Contaminants under Climate Change&#8221; chaired by Dr. Bing Chen,\u00a0UArctic Research Chair, Professor, &amp; Associate Dean from\u00a0Memorial University, was successfully hosted on August 15. Dr. Chris Marvin, Research Scientist and Section Head in Environmental Analytical Chemist, Environment and Climate Change Canada, delivered an insightful talk on Brominated Flame Retardants (BFRs) in the environment and associated ecological risks.\u00a0Dr. Raj Chavan, Vice President and National Wastewater &amp; Reuse Technical Lead at AtkinsR\u00e9alis, USA,\u00a0presented an eye-opening session on PPCPs in the environment. He highlighted their widespread impacts and the related mitigation strategies.\u00a0Dr. Roland Kallenborn,\u00a0UArctic Chair &amp; Professor from Norwegian University of Life Sciences,\u00a0discussed Polycyclic Aromatic Compounds (PACs) and their regulations.
