Submission Criteria & Guidelines:\u00a0<\/strong>
Every effort will be made to accept quality abstracts that address the identified areas of interest and meet the standards exercised by the Organizing Committee, but submission is expected to be competitive and authors are encouraged to consider how their contribution may best fit and to ensure that it truly represents the value of their contribution.

Abstract Format \/ Authors Instructions:<\/strong>Abstracts must be submitted in\u00a0PDF format\u00a0<\/strong>only\u00a0by July 22nd<\/sup>, 2019<\/strong>\u00a0to the following FTP sites:Call for Abstracts (Oral Presentations –\u00a0https:\/\/oera.sharefile.com\/r-r704ae3f0e524d15b<\/a>\u00a0Call for Abstracts (Poster Presentations) –\u00a0https:\/\/oera.sharefile.com\/r-rd0fc9defb434547a<\/a>\u00a0Abstracts must be prepared using the provided\u00a0template and guidelines<\/strong>.<\/a>Submitted abstracts will be peer reviewed by experts in the field who have been selected by the Organizing Committee.Authors will be informed of acceptance of their extended abstract by\u00a0August 1, 2019<\/strong>\u00a0and any associated peer review comments will be forwarded to the author.Revised abstracts will be must be submitted by August 9, 2019.\u00a0\u00a0

Presentation Formats<\/strong>
Oral Presentations
Sessions are 60 minutes in length and will have 3-4 speakers.\u00a0 Each speaker will have 15 minutes for their presentation.\u00a0 A 10-15 minute question and answer period will conclude the session following all of the presentations. Only one speaker per abstract will be allowed to participate in the presentation and will be acknowledged in the Conference Program.\u00a0 Co-authors can be listed in the speaker\u2019s PowerPoint presentation.

Poster Presentations
Due to the large number of abstracts that\u00a0energy3<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0receives for presentations at the conference, and the limited number of speaking slots that are available, the poster session provides an alternative medium for presenting your work to a large number of delegates.\u00a0 Poster presentations will be displayed in the exhibition hall throughout the duration of the exhibition. The poster session provides an excellent opportunity for authors and conference attendees to discuss interesting, innovative work or to discuss ongoing research. Authors will be limited to a maximum of 2 posters in this year\u2019s poster session.

Conference Registration
Conference speakers are eligible for a discount from the standard conference rates (CAD$125 + HST).\u00a0 Once speakers have been provided confirmation of participation in the conference, you will be required to complete your conference registration.\u00a0 Speakers will not\u00a0be reimbursed for travel or accommodations.
