Dr. Feiyue Wang – 2021 Winner of the Environment Division R&D Dima Award

Congratulations to PEOPLE member Dr. Feiyue Wang (University of Manitoba) for winning the CIC’s Environment Division Research and Development Dima Award. The Environment Division R&D Dima Award is presented for distinguished contributions to research and/or development in the fields of environmental chemistry or environmental chemical engineering, while working in Canada.

The Government of Canada is launching a request for proposal for the development of tools and resources for Canadian organizations to implement equality, diversity and inclusion practices within their workforce. The What Works Toolkit will be available to all 50 – 30 Challenge participants and all Canadian organizations.

Call for Applications: The 50 – 30 Challenge Ecosystem Funding

The Government of Canada is issuing this call for applications for organizations interested in supporting the 50 – 30 Challenge participants in adopting diversity practices in their organizations. Ecosystem partners will be awarded a three year, non-repayable Contribution Agreement with a minimum value of $3M and a maximum value of $10M.

PhD positions: NRPOP Laboratory, Memorial University, Canada

The Northern Region Persistent Organic Pollution Control (NRPOP) Laboratory is seeking enthusiastic and motivated PhD students, starting Fall (September), Winter (January), or Spring (May) semester. The students will be fully funded and conduct modeling and/or experimental research on emerging contaminants. Please see attached flyer for details.
